Datalog & Revision Instructions

Datalog & Revision Instructions

Follow the instructions sent with each Yosh Tuned calibration. They tell you which log to record next. The exact gear, RPM range, throttle and boost instructions depend on your setup and stage of tuning.

Before You Log

  • Upload the calibration specified in your latest tuning email and use the agreed fuel.
  • Check that the vehicle is mechanically sound, with no new warning lights, misfires, leaks or fuel-pressure concerns.
  • Keep the same plugs and gap, boost setting, sensors and hardware unless Yosh Tuned directs a change.
  • If anything has changed, tell Yosh Tuned before making another log.

Record Only the Requested Logs

You may be asked for cold-start/idle, normal city and highway driving, part-throttle or controlled boost, or a specific gear pull. Record each requested log separately. Do not combine an idle log and a driving log into one file.

Do not perform a WOT pull unless Yosh Tuned specifically requests one. When a pull is requested, use the gear, starting RPM, ending RPM and throttle amount in that email. Do not use instructions sent for a different vehicle or revision.

Stop If Something Is Abnormal

Use a safe, legal location and do not log when road, traffic, weather or vehicle conditions make it unsafe. Let off and stop the test for a misfire, unusual noise, overheating, fuel-pressure problem, unexpected or uncontrolled boost, unexpectedly lean reading, excessive knock or anything else abnormal. Save the log, report what happened and do not repeat the pull until Yosh Tuned has reviewed it.

Send Your Logs

Reply in the same tuning email thread with your order number. Attach each log as a separate file and briefly label it, such as “cold-start idle,” “normal driving,” or the pull Yosh Tuned requested. Include any symptoms, warning lights or changes since the previous revision. A filename such as Order1234_Idle_Log1 helps keep files organized.

Between Revisions

Wait for the next calibration and instructions before doing another test. Do not adjust fuel, ignition, boost, cam/VTC, injector or sensor settings yourself unless Yosh Tuned tells you to. Keep the same vehicle setup and report any change before logging again.

Revisions and Support

Calibration revisions and tuning support are handled Monday through Friday on normal business days. Yosh Tuned works to respond promptly, but same-day or daily revisions are not guaranteed. Keep questions and files in the existing email thread and avoid sending duplicate logs.

After Your Tune Is Complete

Changes to fuel, injectors, MAP sensor, engine, camshafts, intake manifold, turbo or supercharger, boost level or other calibration-related hardware may require an Existing Customer Re-Tune. Contact Yosh Tuned before using the old calibration with a changed setup.
