Is your 2006–2011 Civic Si ready for a FlashPro e-tune?

For the 8th-generation Civic Si, the engine, ECU, tuning hardware, and modifications must match a supported Hondata FlashPro application. A K20Z3-powered Civic Si may have a very different calibration requirement depending on whether it is nearly stock, full bolt-ons, cammed, or boosted. Confirm your exact ECU and hardware compatibility before purchasing; if the engine or ECU has been swapped, contact Yosh Tuned with those details.

You will need:

  • A compatible Hondata FlashPro device and the software/equipment needed to upload calibrations and record datalogs; hardware is not included with the tuning service.
  • A mechanically sound vehicle without unresolved misfires, cooling problems, vacuum/boost leaks, fuel-pressure issues, or sensor faults.
  • A clear modification list: engine or swap, intake, exhaust/header, manifold, injectors, MAP sensor, cams, forced-induction equipment, and fuel system where applicable.
  • Accurate fuel information. Ethanol and flex-fuel setups require appropriate supporting hardware and verified fuel configuration.
  • A properly installed and configured wideband if the setup requires one.

What does custom FlashPro remote tuning include?

Yosh Tuned builds a custom starting calibration based on the supplied vehicle, modifications, and fuel. That starting file is not the finished tune. The calibration is developed further using datalogs and revisions, addressing applicable idle, normal driving, fueling, ignition, VTEC, cam angle, and boost-control operation within the limits of your ECU and hardware.

  1. Choose the service. Select the 2006–2011 Civic Si option, your naturally aspirated or power-adder setup, and the fuel you actually use.
  2. Submit accurate setup details. Describe your hardware before tuning begins so the starting file matches the car.
  3. Install the supplied file. Read the instructions for that revision before collecting any data.
  4. Record only the requested datalogs. Initial logs may focus on idle, ordinary driving, sensor behavior, and part-throttle operation. Any high-load test is requested separately when appropriate.
  5. Review and revise. Send the requested logs, report any issues, and receive calibration updates as your setup progresses.

Safety: Never perform a wide-open-throttle pull until Yosh Tuned explicitly requests it. Stop a test if you notice abnormal knock, a misfire, unexpected boost, fuel-pressure issues, overheating, or another concerning symptom.

Naturally aspirated vs. turbocharged Civic Si tuning

Naturally aspirated K20Z3

Bolt-ons, intake and exhaust changes, manifolds, and camshaft combinations can change airflow and torque delivery. Custom tuning uses datalogs to check the calibration rather than assuming that a generic setup is correct for every car.

Turbocharged or supercharged K20Z3

Forced-induction builds require accurate details about the turbo or supercharger, boost-control components, injectors, MAP sensor, fuel delivery, and wideband configuration. A safe calibration depends on the actual mechanical system as well as the fuel; e-tuning cannot solve an undersized fuel system or a mechanical fault.

91/93 octane, E85, and flex fuel: choose the correct option

Choose the fuel you will actually run and keep it consistent during the requested logs. A vehicle tuned for pump gasoline cannot simply be switched to E85 without the proper hardware and calibration. Available E85 and flex-fuel options depend on the specific setup and supported controls. If you are uncertain about your ethanol content, sensor setup, or fuel-system capacity, provide that information before starting.

Frequently asked questions

Can I purchase a tune if my Civic Si has already been tuned by someone else?

Yes, if your hardware and application are supported. Choose the full FlashPro E-Tune service. The Existing Customer Re-Tune is only for customers whose previous completed calibration was performed by Yosh Tuned.

Do I receive a premade basemap?

No. Yosh Tuned does not sell generic standalone basemaps. The purchased service includes a starting calibration for your supplied setup, followed by the requested datalogging and calibration revisions.

Will you guarantee a horsepower number?

No specific horsepower or acceleration result is guaranteed. Results depend on engine condition, fuel, modifications, environment, hardware, and other factors.

What if my vehicle has an engine swap or unusual ECU?

Contact Yosh Tuned before purchase to confirm the correct tuning platform and service. A similar engine does not necessarily mean identical ECU compatibility.
