Datalog & Revision Instructions

Use these guidelines while actively tuning with Yosh Tuned. Always follow the specific instructions included with your calibration when they differ from the general information below.

Before Sending a Log

Confirm the correct calibration is uploaded to the ECU.
Make sure the vehicle has no active mechanical or electrical problems.
Use the fuel type selected for your tuning service.
Do not change major parts or calibration-related hardware without notifying Yosh Tuned.
Complete only the type of datalog that was requested.

What to Include With Every Datalog

Order number
Vehicle/year and tuning platform
Current fuel
A short description of what the log contains
Any new symptoms, warning lights or changes since the previous revision

File Naming

Use a clear filename whenever possible, for example: Order1234_3rdGear_Log1 or Order1234_Idle_Log. This makes multiple revisions easier to track.

While Datalogging

Use a safe, legal location and maintain control of the vehicle. Never attempt a requested log when road, traffic, weather or vehicle conditions make it unsafe. Stop the pull immediately if you notice a misfire, abnormal noise, unexpected boost, severe knock, loss of fuel pressure, lean operation, overheating or any other abnormal behavior.

Do Not Change the Tune Yourself During the Process

Unless specifically instructed, do not alter ignition timing, fuel tables, boost control, cam/VTC tables, injector data, sensor calibrations or other calibration settings between revisions. Unreported changes can make the next datalog misleading.

Revision Schedule

Calibration revisions are handled Monday through Friday. A revision every day is attempted when possible, but a same-day or one-revision-per-day turnaround is not guaranteed. Sending duplicate messages or repeated copies of the same log does not speed up the review process.

When a Re-Tune Is Required

If your original Yosh Tuned calibration was completed and you later change major calibration-related components—such as injectors, fuel type, engine configuration, turbocharger/supercharger setup, camshafts or other significant hardware—use the Existing Customer Re-Tune service unless Yosh Tuned instructs you otherwise.
